National Theatre Live comes to Steep Film
Society
We are delighted to announce that Steep Film Society has signed up to National Theatre Live. This will allow us to bring selected filmed stage productions from the National Theatre to our screen, adding a new dimension to the Society’s programme, details can be found here.
We are also looking to continue Free Monthly Children’s Film screenings, starting in September.
Remember we are a membership society, and there are free, premium and gold categories of membership. If you are not a member, then you can still come along as a guest, it just costs a bit more and that members of any kind will get priority if we “sell out”! Cost of Membership ranges from “Free” to £75 pa to become a “Gold Member” (the latter includes tickets for every film). To benefit from Member tickets and discounted prices, you must create an account and login. If want a free account you must add it to your basket and checkout free of charge!

Regular screenings will take place approximately every fortnight on Friday evenings. You must be logged in to buy tickets other than gust tickets.
Please note: Doors open 19:30 for 20:00 film start. If all prebooked attendees have arrived, we reserve the right to start a little early.
Membership Options
Steep Film Society has at times been a membership and a non membership society. The reasons are various and in part was driven by the type and therefore cost of licences we have to buy for each film and by the availability of a volunteer to run the membership records. By offering a website, where people can sign up and their membership is “managed” by the website, makes life easier – as is the ability to offer different types of membership and different benefits for each type. Having a membership allows us buy licences for a wider range of films. However, some of those licences prevent the Society advertising the screening to anyone but the membership (this doesn’t stop members inviting friends by posting on social media what they are going to watch – just we can’t!). Such evenings will me clearly marked and themed.
Of course if you don’t want to become a free member, you can still come as a guest, but this incurs a premium
Registered Membership
Registered membership costs nothing, other than registering your email address and agreeing that we can send you details of the screenings. You can then buy tickets in advance at the regular online price of £6.
A Registered Member can buy 4 tickets.

Premium Membership
Premium membership costs from £8 pppa and agreeing that we can send you details of the screenings. You can then buy Premium Member tickets in advance at the discounted online price of £5.
Premium membership caters for singles (£8), couples (£16) and families (£20)
To buy tickets you will need to login to see the discounted prices
Gold Membership
Gold Membership costs from £75 pppa, and agreeing that we can send you details of the screenings. You can then attend all films we screen throughout the year, so 16 or 17 at no additional cost and without booking tickets.
Premium membership caters for singles (£75), couples (£150) and families (£200)
Gold Members do not need to buy tickets for individual screenings – their ticket(s) is/are already reserved!

The STEEP FILM SOCIETY IN MEMORY OF SIR ALEC GUINNESS, is a Charity that registered in England and Wales, number 1103234 on 15 April 2004.

It is based at Steep Village Hall, Steep, Petersfield, GU32 2DN and shows films, chosen by a committee voted for at the AGM of regular film goers, approximately every 2 weeks during school terms, typically on Friday evenings.
